Socrate improves service quality provided by Ion Mos to its customers

Ion Mos, one of the largest distributors of raw materials for salami and sausages uses Socrate, the integrated ERP solution developed by Bit Software. Ion Mos distributes a vast range of spices and spices mixtures, additives, casings (natural, collagen, polyamide) as well as equipments and tools for food industry.

Ion Mos uses Socrate system since 2001 to coordinate and increase the effectiveness of the company's entire activity. Socrate is implemented in Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Manufacturing and IT departments both at headquarters and at the warehouses spread across the country with which the system communicates trough replication. The replication procedure is simple and easy to employ, at present being performed using dial-up connections (for some warehouses) and internet (for other warehouses), and the replicated documents are mostly sales documents.

Ion Mos has at present 90 employees that are coordinated form the headquarters located in Bucharest, while the distribution is achieved by a network of warehouses opened in 9 cities in Romania: Alba Iulia, Baia Mare, Brasov, Constanta, Galati , Pascani, Ramnicu Valcea, Targu Secuiesc, Timisoara.

Also, we can perform more accurate forecasts regarding stocks that need to be imported (bought), due to reports from Socrate system that offer information about sales versus purchase/import", says Mr. Eugen Caragui, Marketing Manager of Ion Mos.

During the 4 years of continuous use, Socrate has been continuously upgraded and improved with new functionalities, thus becoming a mature and more refined product, fact that led to an increased utility of the system, and consequently to an increased efficiency of the entire activity.
